Year 5LS visit London
On Wednesday 25th June 2025, Year 5LS had a thoroughly enjoyable day visiting our capital city- London. Although the sun was extremely hot, we learnt and visited a lot of the most famous London attractions such as the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and 10 Downing Street. We started our day at The Tower of London and had the opportunity to look at the crown jewels. We then travelled into the centre of London on a boat cruise. The children grew with excitement as Big Ben and The London Eye appeared before them. On the London Eye we got to see lots of the landmarks around London, we could see as far as Wembley Stadium in the distance. On our walk down The Mall to Buckingham Palace, we saw that The Royal Standard was flying, meaning that the King was in residence. We all had a marvellous day and the children learnt so much about the history of London.
