Year 3EM visit the World of Wedgewood
During our visit, we experienced the rich history of the World of Wedgwood. We discovered the ancient techniques of pottery making and gained insight into the operations of a bottle kiln and factory. Additionally, we explored the life of Josiah Wedgwood and admired numerous remarkable pottery pieces he created. The factory tour provided us with an understanding of contemporary pottery production, and we even had the opportunity to handle some exquisite pots and plates. In the afternoon, we designed and painted our own pencil pot, which has now been sent to the factory for glazing and firing. Overall, we had an incredible day immersing ourselves in our local history and heritage.
