Year 1SB visit Middleport Pottery Museum
On Tuesday 11th October we went to Middleport Pottery museum. We started the day off learning about how pottery such as teapots are made. Then we heard a story about Netty the painter and her magic paintbrush and we designed our own plates. We also had a tour round the museum and inside a bottle kiln! The children were very excited to hear all about the Saggermakers Bottom Knocker!! In the afternoon we lots of fun making our own bottle kilns out of clay.
