Year 1SG visit Bramton Museum

Today Year 1SG have had a brilliant day at the Brampton Museum! This was to explore the life of Florence Nightingale in line with our history topic 'The Greatest People'. We time travelled back in time to the 1800s and were recruited as Florence Nightingale's team of nurses.

Year 1SG did a great job of tidying up the dirty hospitals and putting bandages on the soldiers. We learnt that Florence Nightingale is the reason why we wash our hands and why hospitals are so clean today. An extra bonus was the opportunity to look around the beautiful gardens and linking to our science topic about plants. We walked around the garden looking at which plants were garden plants and which were wild plants. Safe to say Year 1SG may have a few future nurses in the making!
