Educational Visits

Y1SG have had a fantastic time at Canalside Fruit Farm! We picked lots of juicy red strawberries and even some ruby raspberries too! 1SG had great discussions about science links to seasonal changes. We even talked about how to eat fruit and vegetables that match the colours of the rainbow and why they are good for us. The fruit lady taught us that Strawberries are good for us because they help our heart to stay healthy. She told us an easy way to remember that it helps our heart is because they are red like our hearts too. We had a superb time and will have plenty of yummy strawberries to enjoy!
